The poetry here comes in two kinds.
The notes are raw and dated, first-pass writing kept in the order it arrived, roughness intact, fixed only for obvious typos. They are a record of language finding its own engine. The compositions are the opposite end of the same practice, longer works built deliberately from those fragments, where the raw material becomes something constructed and whole.
